Herbed Greek Yogurt Dip

Ingredients

1 cup (250 mL) The Greek Gods® Traditional Plain Yogurt
1 tbsp (15 mL) lemon juice
1 tsp (5 mL) crushed garlic
1/2 tsp (2 mL) liquid honey
1/2 tsp (2 mL) Dijon mustard
1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground coriander
Pinch salt
4 tsp (20 mL) chopped fresh dill, mint or cilantro
2 pkgs (each 240 g) Yves Veggie Cuisine® Falafel Balls

Directions

  1. In medium bowl, mix together yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, honey, mustard, coriander and salt until smooth.
  2. Stir in your choice of fresh herbs. Add more if desired, to taste. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or up to 2 days.
  3. Bake Falafel Balls in oven according to package directions. Serve hot with dip.

Variations:

  1. Serve falafel balls in pita pockets, drizzle with dip. Add shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes and onions.
  2. Tzatziki: To the dill version, stir in 1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped or shredded English cucumber. (Sprinkle with a little salt; drain well on paper towel.)

Tips

Recipe may be doubled; use 1 tub (500 g) The Greek Gods® Traditional Plain Yogurt. Dip may also be used with Yves Veggie Cuisine® Kale & Quinoa Bites.
