Meatless Monday
Meatless Monday is a national public health campaign to help prevent heart disease, stroke, some cancers and diabetes – four of the leading causes of death in America. A simple way to do this is to eat less meat and high-fat dairy foods. By cutting out saturated fat just one day a week, Americans on average would meet dietary guidelines. Also, many people can over indulge during the weekend – going meatless on Monday is a great way to start the week off on a lighter note.
